Nathan and Shannon started their love story at Vermont Technical College in 2017. Nathan was an assistant manager on the men's basketball team, while Shannon played for the women's team. They both enjoyed sitting on the bus together during away games. Their first date was at East Gardens, a Chinese Restaurant in Randolph, VT.

On October 20th, 2017, Nathan asked Shannon at around 1 AM after attending a college party.

Seven years later, they have both graduated from college and live in Florence, VT. Shannon is a psychiatric nurse at Rutland Regional Medical Center, and Nathan works for a small company that installs heat pumps and solar.

Nate and Shannon enjoy many activities together. They love spending time with their families and friends, attending concerts, camping, exploring, and playing with their Bunny, Buzz-Bee.

After 7 years of dating, Nathan proposed to Shannon on October 12th, 2024, on top of Killington Mountain, surrounded by their loved ones. Nate had been planning the proposal for about a month after asking her dad. He took many rides up the gondola to the top of the mountain to ensure that the spot he wanted was perfect.
